2. Provision of the website and server log data

When you access this website, technically necessary data are processed, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested file or page, the amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. Processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and functional operation of the website.

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes data on our behalf. Log data are deleted in accordance with the technical settings and contractual hosting requirements when they are no longer required for these purposes, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.

3. Encrypted transmission

This website uses TLS/SSL encryption. This protects data transmitted to us against access by third parties while in transit.

4. Contact and contact form

If you contact us by email, telephone or via the contact form, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. The form requires your name and email address and may additionally collect your company, telephone number and message. The form data are sent to our email inbox and are not additionally stored in a website database.

If your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to them under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where the consent requested in the form is relied upon, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR also applies; consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

The information is deleted once the enquiry has been conclusively dealt with, unless statutory retention duties or legitimate grounds require further storage.

5. Locally hosted video and other local content

The video, logos, graphics, fonts and design files displayed on the website are loaded from our own IONOS web space. Displaying them does not establish a connection to an external video, font or image platform.

6. Matomo Cloud – audience measurement without tracking cookies

We use Matomo Cloud to statistically analyse use of our website and improve our services. The provider is InnoCraft Ltd, 7 Waterloo Quay, PO Box 625, 6140 Wellington, New Zealand. JavaScript is loaded from cdn.matomo.cloud and usage data are transmitted to our Matomo instance at coatazan.matomo.cloud.

The data processed may include pages viewed, time of access, referring page, technical browser and device information, language, screen resolution, approximate geographic allocation and IP address. Matomo is integrated so that no Matomo tracking cookies are set and the browser's “Do Not Track” setting is respected. IP anonymisation and deletion periods must also be configured in a privacy-friendly manner in the Matomo account.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is privacy-conscious audience measurement, technical optimisation and improvement of our content. Analytics data are not used for personalised advertising or combined with other data to create advertising profiles. According to Matomo, Matomo Cloud customer data and backups are stored in Europe. InnoCraft is established in New Zealand, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. A data processing agreement must be in place with InnoCraft for Matomo Cloud.

Objecting to Matomo analytics

You can object to future audience measurement in this browser and reverse the objection later:

7. Sectigo security seal

The Sectigo security seal displayed on the website is embedded directly in the page as a local SVG graphic. Merely displaying the seal therefore does not establish a connection to Sectigo. Only when you click the link in the seal is Sectigo's website opened; the external provider's privacy terms then apply.

8. Language selection, cookies and local storage

Language selection is implemented solely through separate German, English and Spanish pages. The selected language is not stored in a cookie or in browser local storage. Under the current configuration, the website does not set non-essential cookies. Any item stored to remember a Matomo opt-out is used solely to respect your privacy choice.

9. Recipients and processing on our behalf

Recipients of personal data may, where necessary, include IONOS as hosting and email provider and InnoCraft as provider of Matomo Cloud. We disclose data to other parties only where there is a legal basis, you have consented, or disclosure is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

10. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, contact info@coatazan.com.

Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority with particular competence for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Germany.

12. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this policy when the website, the services used or the legal requirements change.
